Our clients' teams across the globe are organized around 5 category areas that drive spend activity for Chemicals, Ingredients, Packaging, Plant Materials and Services, and Corporate Materials and Services (which includes Information Technology). The teams develop and drive category strategies to leverage global and regional position in the market, drive stronger connectivity, accountability and relationships with businesses and functions, and clearly understand the requirements of the stakeholders they support.

Position Overview:
The Global IT Sourcing Director performs the critical role of enabling the success of IT category strategy from a Strategic Sourcing perspective. The role will be accountable for developing and maintaining a close Strategic working relationship with the IT functional Leadership and ensuring the IT Sourcing Strategy is developed and aligned with the IT Functional Strategy.
This role leads the IT Sourcing Team and will be responsible for providing strategic planning and direction to the team, overseeing decision-making and problem solving, driving team member performance, providing work direction, feedback, career development and coaching.

Principal Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain deep Category expertise of chosen Strategic Suppliers and their alternatives.
Demonstrate an outstanding detailed knowledge of IT Industry economics, Innovation and critical Emerging Trends and Opportunities such as the Cloud.
Ensure an intimate understanding of the Business/Functional needs and alignment of key stakeholders around the category strategy.
Develop the global IT category strategy in conjunction with the IT Function.
Form and lead cross functional teams to deploy the strategy.
Lead negotiations with complex/key suppliers.
Evaluate incumbent supplier capabilities and establish new sources of supply in various markets to meet business requirements
Manage designated supplier relationships in conjunction with Corporate IT Function
Manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity and comply with corporate and regulatory policies
Ensure accurate reporting of key metrics and manage communication with key stakeholders
Liaise with Tartan Services Delivery team to ensure strategies align and overlapping efforts are coordinated
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or IT
Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience in Sourcing IT
Strategic thinker - understands the details but can operate at a higher level
Strong leadership & interpersonal skills with the ability to engage & influence senior stakeholders to the CIO Level
Experience with world-class strategic sourcing & category management practices
Strong experience leading global projects, large teams, and driving category initiatives
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and coordinate initiatives with a virtual, global/regional team
Persuasive 'change agent' capable of challenging conventional wisdom
Track record of success in capturing Value and driving spend to preferred suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to manage and improve vendor performance through the application of rigorous SRM Processes

Experience of working strategically with SAP, Microsoft and TelecomEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
