Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the transportation planning process and day to day execution to ensure capacity, customer satisfaction and on-time delivery at the lowest total cost for specific shipping locations.DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Plan daily shipments by utilizing transportation management system for initial optimization runManually review each route for compliance with carrier commitments, service expectations and special customer exceptions and adjust as necessary.Resolve and communicate delivery problems.Monitor, communicate, and manage carrier performance.Analyze and explain freight costs.Participate on various project teams.Maintain accurate and timely data in SAP and TMS system.Manage and direct shipment planning functions for specific origin pointsMaintain and utilize route guide.Tender shipments to carriers and confirm load coverageEnsure 100% load coverage for daily shipment volume.Manage transportation planning from end to end for multiple locations including but not limited making delivery appointments, assigning alternate carriers / modes if needed to meet delivery date or ensure best combination of service and cost.Monitor daily shipment execution, resolve delivery problems/ concern, and communicate daily carrier performance.Track and report carrier service performanceReview with Transportation Lead.Identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.Facilitate the exchange of timely and accurate communication between transportation functions, customer service, inventory planning, warehouse, production, sales, and carriers.Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.1
year experience in supply chain planning (transportation, distribution, operations).Supply chain management knowledge including operational, supply chain processes and information technology.Experience in food manufacturing/distribution industry and familiarity with supply chain management issues and opportunities preferred.Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Good PC skills, in such programs as Excel, Word, Access.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in supply chain or business.Experience with doing Supply Chain process improvements and operating processes.Experience with TMS and ERP systems2
years experience in planning in distribution, transportation, or supply chain planning. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
