Summary:
Provides support services within the Human Resources and Administrative Services Departments including hew hire processing, employee leave administration, and HRIS; provides general clerical support and assists with general employee requests and questions.
Essential Functions:

Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
Ensures all new employees receive appropriate orientation forms and all existing employees receive appropriate employment related forms.
Meets with new hires to provide employee ID badges, E-Verify processing, fingerprinting services, and all necessary forms.
Coordinates the criminal background check and employment verification process for new hires; forwards discrepancies and concerns to appropriate parties.
Ensures all requirements of the MN Wage Theft Law are met including providing necessary notifications to new hires.
Interprets and processes all new hire and status change forms.
Ensures new employee contracts are signed & submitted for School Board approval.
Maintains School Board consent items; submits reports for School Board approval.
Maintains union reports and submits information on status changes and new hires to Union officials.
Provides monthly reports to the state New Hire Reporting Center.
Receives FMLA, Worker's Compensation, and Long-Term Disability employee leave requests; communicates appropriate procedures to employees.
Creates and maintains tracking systems for employee leaves.
Monitors, enters and adjusts employee time off entries necessary for each leave in HRIS and Absence Management systems.
Coordinates the time off rollover/allocation process.
Serves as primary contact for time & attendance system; troubleshoots issues.
Creates, updates, and maintains report templates and run reports as requested.
Posts reports and important information on the District webpage.
Organizes important financial and staff data for developing employee communications, collective bargaining procedures, and employee records requests.
Responds to verification of employment requests as needed.
Promotes and supports the overall mission of the District by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.

Education and
Experience:
Associate's degree in human resources, public or business administration, or a closely related field.
Two (2) years of professional human resources support experience.
OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
Driver's license.
Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge:
Principles and practices for providing customer and personal services.
Administrative principles and practices, including Microsoft office suite.
Applicable laws, codes and regulations.
Records management principles and practices.
Computer applications related to the work.
Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Required Skills:

Interpreting, applying and explaining applicable laws, codes and regulations.
Maintaining accurate records and files.
Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
